This one was different.

It was intimate, emotional, joy-filled, and truly unforgettable.

Even though I can’t share images of M & A’s beautiful day, I’m still so honoured to share the story behind it. Because sometimes the most meaningful weddings aren’t about what you see but about what you feel.

A Venue Perfect for a Halloween Love Story

The wedding took place at the wonderful Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel, its historic exterior the perfect backdrop for a day inspired by autumn, warmth, and subtle Halloween charm.

Inside, the colours were rich and romantic. Soft oranges, purples, and autumnal tones, with little nods to the season scattered throughout. Think pumpkins, black cats, witches’ brooms… classy, playful, and full of personality.

Celebrating Love

M & A’s wedding day was a long-awaited celebration of the life they’ve built side by side.

The ceremony was cosy and intimate but the room felt absolutely full. Full of love. Full of emotion. Full of people who adored them.

The moment they walked down the aisle together is something I’ll never forget. They had been so relaxed during our pre-wedding chats but when the music started and the reality of the moment sank in, their emotions completely took over. Happy tears, proud smiles, and the kind of love that hits you right in the chest.

One reading after another brought even more meaning to their vows, each one chosen with intention and heart. The whole ceremony felt warm, reflective, and deeply personal, the perfect atmosphere for a Halloween wedding that wasn’t spooky, but soulful.

A Room Full of Happy Tears

And when I say every guest cried, I mean every guest.

The love in that room was so palpable that I found myself swept up in it too.

Because the day was so intimate, I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with each person. Something I don’t always get the chance to do at larger weddings. I especially loved speaking with one of the dads, who shared stories, enthusiasm, and a passion for photography that made our conversation one of the many special moments of the day.

Fun, Laughter & the Joy of Being Together

Despite the emotions, M & A were also incredibly fun.

They laughed constantly, teased each other lovingly, and spent the day simply enjoying being within arm’s reach of the person they adore.

No elaborate timelines, no pressure, no rush.

Just connection.

This was such a beautiful LGBTQ+ wedding, and I honestly cannot put into words what it meant to me to be chosen and trusted with their precious memories.

I’ve always said that every love story is welcome here and I wholeheartedly mean that.

It is a privilege to be invited into someone’s wedding day, to witness their joy, and to document the moments they’ll treasure forever.
