I first met Brogan and Jake when they were a bridesmaid and groomsman at another wedding I photographed, so capturing their own big day felt extra special. There’s something truly heartwarming about seeing familiar faces again, and these two were an absolute dream to work with from start to finish.
Their wedding took place on Saturday 28th June 2025 at the beautiful Moxhull Hall, and oh my goodness, what a day it was! With temperatures soaring to 30°C at one point, it was one of the hottest weddings I’ve photographed this year, but that didn’t stop the laughter, love, and incredible energy from start to finish.
Calm Before the “I Do”
Bridal prep took place in Moxhull Hall’s dedicated getting-ready space, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for such a hot summer’s day, calm, cool, and completely chilled, just how Brogan needed it. She was joined by her mum, step-mum, maid of honour, and one of her bridesmaids for most of the morning, with the rest of her bridal party popping in and out to check on her and share the excitement.
One of the loveliest moments was when Brogan gave out her gifts and then had a dress reveal with her bridesmaids, cue all the happy and big reactions! And honestly, her dress was a showstopper. The detailing was absolutely phenomenal and suited her so perfectly. It was a joy to capture those quiet, joyful moments before the whirlwind of the ceremony began.

An Outdoor Ceremony with All the Feels
The couple said their vows outdoors in front of a broken floral arch and the cutest gazebo, a breathtaking setup that perfectly matched their champagne gold and white colour scheme. The atmosphere was romantic, elegant, and full of emotion. Jake’s reaction at the top of the aisle was one of those moments that reminds me exactly why I love this job. I may or may not have teared up behind the camera too!

Its all in the Details
Brogan’s bouquet deserves its own paragraph, it was genuinely the biggest and most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever seen. Wild, pretty, and overflowing with texture, it matched the romantic styling throughout the whole day.
One of the most unforgettable moments had to be the singing waiters, a total surprise for the guests and Jake during the wedding breakfast. The act kicks off with one of them dramatically falling over, which naturally sends everyone into a bit of a panic… and there’s me, camera up, photographing her on the floor 😅 I definitely got a few funny looks, people probably thought I was being heartless! But the confusion quickly turned into laughter as the Husband and Wife duo burst into song and got the whole room clapping and dancing. Absolutely brilliant entertainment and such a fun twist in the day!
Portraits After Dinner? Yes Please.
Because the couple had quite a detailed group shot list, we saved their couple portraits for after the wedding breakfast. It turned out to be the perfect decision as by then, the light was softer, and we had more shaded spots to work with (a total blessing in the heat!).
Moxhull Hall has some gorgeous photo spots, including romantic archways, a secret garden-style area with a derelict doorway, and a little stone gazebo. We took advantage of all of them, and the results are just magical!

Let’s Talk About the Party…
Their DJ was hands down one of the best I’ve seen. He had such a great rapport with the guests, kept the dance floor full, and made Jake and Brogan’s entrance into the evening reception SO much fun! Jake was high-fiving guests all the way in!
Brogan & Jake, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your gorgeous summer wedding. It was such a joy to be part of your day, and I’m so excited for you to relive every moment through your full gallery soon!
