Are you ready to hear about Jennie & Jake's happily ever after at The Barns Hotel in Cannock? Then keep reading!
Jennie & Jake married on May 18th 2024 at The Barns Hotel, Cannock and booked my Enchanted package which included coverage from the ceremony up to first dance and cake cutting.
Honestly, where do I start? This couple booked me waaayyyyy back in 2021 for their 2024 wedding, at a time where weddings were being cancelled or postponed (let's not talk too much about covid eh?) finally getting back to booking one in was very exciting! After meeting Jennie & Jake at their consultation I felt we had immediately clicked, I loved hearing about how long they had been together, all the plans they had for their upcoming day and learning all about their young family. From the get go I could tell that family meant a lot to them and this was going to be the driving force of their wedding plans. So I bet you could imagine my excitement when I got a message that same night to say they wished to go ahead and book me.
In the lead up to the wedding Jennie and I were discussing potentially taking time out of the wedding day to utilise the beautiful Cannock Chase for some portaits amongst some greenery. We left it as a potential possibiltity as the weather had forcast a lot of rain for their May wedding day, however were they WRONG! May 18th 2024 had to be the sunniest day we had had yet. After pulling up to the venue and getting my camera gear ready I headed inside to be greeted by the loveliest staff who guided me to the ceremony room so I could start documenting the very special day. The room for the ceremony was beautiful, a barn like setting which was just the right size for an intimate wedding setting. After grabbing some gorgeous shots of the empty room I also headed down to grab some of the gorgeously presented reception room and then headed on my way to find Jennie and her girls.
Once I found Jennie I could sense the excitement immediately from her, her bridesmaids and her beautiful little girl, Ella. It already felt like the day was running smoothly and on time, music to my ears! The vibe and tone of the day was already set and I could just tell it was going to be the perfect, relaxed, fun filled family day they were hoping for. With some stunning shots of Jennie and the girls and some special mother daughter moments, it was time for Jennie to have a ride in the Bentley whilst myself and the bridesmaids headed to get ready for the ceremony.
When it came to the ceremony emotions were high and the room was buzzing, as Jennie entered with her father on her arm, it was even hard for me to stop tearing up. Jennie's dad was so proud and so full of emotion, I'm not sure there was a dry eye in the house after seeing that much love in one room. The ceremony itself was filled with love, tears of joy and the happiest of giggles, you couldn't wish for anything more! After a kiss to seal the deal and a signing of the register, it was time for everyone to have fun and mingle out in the sun.
After some celebratory drinks for the happy couple and their guests it was time for the fun confetti photos and then group photos to shortly follow. Everyone did an amazing job at throwing the confetti for me at this wedding, it was like they had all already been briefed on the topic! We stayed out the front with the picturesque green door for the group photos too! After what felt like photographing in the burning heat of Dubai, as like I mentioned earlier the forecast rain never showed, it was time for couple portraits!
The barn doors near the other entrance of the hotel gave us some beautiful backdrops for some stunning portraits of Jennie & Jake. However, thanks to the gorgeous weather, we were able to take a short drive over to Cannock Chase to get some beautiful shots of the happy couple amongst the trees and enjoy a bit of shade!
Once the night drew in it was time to party, this wedding had a few children attending and let me tell you, they didn't dissapoint when it came to getting people on the dancefloor! I had no idea what this lovely couple had chosen as their first dance song but I was pleasantly surprised to be hit with a classic I hadn't heard for a while! They danced the night away to "I don't want to miss a thing" and then that was where my night ended.
It was such an honour to be apart of this beautiful day! The couple, their family and all their guests were such a pleasure to be around. I even became bffs with their daughter Ella, who was the PERFECT assistant, helping me get smiles from guests during group photos. The next day I was met with the most perfect thank you message from Jennie, and another beautiful message once she received her preview images. I can't tell you how much words like that mean to your suppliers!
Keep an eye out for more images of theirs to go up once the gallery is finished!
