Pantone Cloud Dancer | An Editorial Styled Shoot at Crumplebury, Worcester

Yep that's my ring 😍

There’s something really special about stepping away from the pace of a real wedding day and having the freedom to create purely for the love of creativity and this editorial styled shoot at Crumplebury did exactly that for me.

Inspired by “Cloud Dancer”, the Pantone Colour of 2026, this shoot embraced the idea that all white can be anything but boring. Soft, sculptural, fashion-forward, romantic, and modern all at once, every detail came together so beautifully that the entire day felt like walking through the pages of a luxury bridal editorial.

And honestly? It completely filled my creative cup!

Editorial Romance Meets Countryside Luxury

Set at the stunning Crumplebury in Worcestershire, the venue gave us the perfect contrast of soft countryside charm and modern industrial elegance. Inside, the light poured beautifully through the space, creating dreamy editorial shadows and soft highlights, while outside we had open farmland, rolling views, and the most gorgeous sunshine.

When I say it was sunny… I mean SUNNY. Blue skies, glowing light, and plenty of wind giving us that effortlessly windswept bridal movement photographers dream about.

Most of the styled setups took place indoors where the supplier team had created the editorial scenes, but we absolutely made the most of the outdoor space too , especially once the wind started catching veils, scarves, and movement so beautifully.

Proving That White Doesn’t Have to Be “Safe”

One of the biggest takeaways from this shoot was realising just how impactful an entirely white colour palette can be. Instead of feeling plain, every detail felt elevated through texture, movement, shape, and styling.

The florals were sculptural and modern, full of layered white blooms that felt soft yet dramatic all at once. The styling throughout was minimal in colour but rich in dimension. Proof that simplicity can still make a huge statement.

One of my favourite styling details had to be the contemporary slab cake, where the model couple blew out candles together rather than cutting into a traditional tiered cake. It felt modern, intimate, and perfectly suited to the editorial feel of the shoot.

Bridal Fashion That Felt Like Art

The fashion styling throughout the shoot was honestly incredible, with four models each bringing something completely unique to the day.

Real-life married couple Rosie & Nick brought such a natural warmth and connection to the shoot. Their chemistry made every frame feel effortless and authentic, perfectly balancing the high-fashion editorial styling with genuine emotion and romance.

We also had Eve, whose bridal portraits brought a softer, more dramatic editorial feel to the day. Her gown in particular completely stole my heart! Featuring whimsical textured sleeves, delicate detailing, and the most beautiful flowing scarf that added so much movement and drama. The scarf was an absolute vibe outdoors in the wind and photographed beautifully against the soft countryside backdrop.

And finally, Hope, our ballerina model, brought such elegance and artistry to the shoot. The movement, posture, and softness she added created some incredibly graceful imagery and gave the shoot an almost ethereal feel in parts.

One of the other standout bridal looks for Rosie featured a removable overskirt, transforming the gown from a sleek mini dress into a full-length bridal statement piece!

The Image That Changed Everything

One of my favourite parts of styled shoots is getting the opportunity to experiment creatively in ways that simply aren’t always possible during the fast pace of a real wedding day.

During this shoot, I created an image that genuinely pushed me creatively , a dramatic portrait of Eve using light, shadow, and the veil in a way I’d never tried before. It’s one of those photographs that instantly makes you stop and stare, and honestly… I became completely obsessed with it!!

Moments like that are why creative workshops are so valuable. They give photographers space to grow, experiment, and evolve artistically.

A Day Full of Creativity (and Mild Chaos)

The atmosphere throughout the day was collaborative and full of excitement. It was so lovely getting to work alongside so many talented creatives and really appreciate what each supplier brings to a wedding day, something you don’t always have time to fully absorb when working a real wedding.

There were also a few slightly chaotic moments thrown in for good measure... Including me somehow managing to stand in stingers and making my entrance to the venue by climbing over a fence after Apple Maps sent me entirely the wrong way to the venue. Honestly, not my most graceful arrival!!
